Process Safety Review Preparation, Facilitation & Reporting
We have managed 150+ Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) since 2011. From harsh experience we have learned the adage ‘fail to prepare then prepare to fail’.
Our preparation often starts before contract award, as we are happy to discuss review methodology during the proposal phase.
Preparation elements which we find helpful include:
Generation of an Intro Presentation which distils the Terms of Reference (ToR) key elements
Holding a pre-meeting with key project stakeholders, focusing on their expectations and concerns for the PHA
Requesting a Process Flow Diagram (PFD) of the scope to enable an initial high level noding ahead of transposing to P&IDs
